  Went for a drive today and found this old church and cemetery. Part of history. The oldest grave there was 1899 so there must be another older cemetery not too far away.

  @jadewing Do you know any history, age? I really like the architecture in churches, usually better built with better materials than most homes. Makes you wonder where there priorities lie, but we won’t get into a philosophical debate about hypocrites, whoops there I go.
  I sometimes think it would be good to be a bit religious just so I can spend more time in these great old buildings, but that soon passes.

  Old La Veta Pass Church. Sometimes it’s good to take the road less traveled. I found this at least 20 years ago and I have visited it countless times since, during various times of the year. Last year was my favorite. By stopping here I missed a chance to shoot a moonrise over Hernandez, NM but after seeing the location I’m glad I took the route that I did. Moonrise, Hernandez, NM can never be recreated. The site has been forever changed.
