The photo that got me hooked

Hi guys,
Thank you for your website, so good to read for amateurs like me.
The first photo who hooked me on photo is the photo from the little Vietnamese girl Phan Thi Kim Phuc, by the 21 year old photographer of the Associated Press, Nick Ut. Not only this photo. I was 15, and this photo has set a big part of my personal life philosophy. Some years later, in 2000, I met my wife in Thailand where I am living now. I went back to photography some years ago. I cannot explain why I mainely shoot black&white, and why I focus on photo of people. I deeply feel that my way to make photo is based on emotion. When writing this, I understand that Nick Ut photo is like a guide line to me.
