Nice ones @camerasinger I think I like your pink sunset the best.
I have a favourite and I tried to link from an online album but it’s not working…so I’ll upload later. …you’re right…it’s very hard to choose just one. ๐

If I had to choose just one…this is probably it. It was taken a few years ago with a Point & Shoot camera….not very high resolution…much to my regret…so I probably can’t make a very large print from it. However, I was in the right place at the right time to get this shot and doubt I will ever replicate the light and scene again.

@mikell That is a stunning photo! Simply love the repetition on the reflections and the light is gorgeous!
I think these sorts of moments are probably amongst the most satisfying we can have as photographers. Unfortunately I’ve not had one in a while. It is perhaps only rivalled by when you’re shooting and the light just keeps getting better. But it’s a close call. The most frustrating moment is when you miss it by mere seconds (and sometimes even less!)…Great idea for a throwdown too Richard @camerasinger. Give me a lifetime and I may just come up with an answer…

Thanks Mike… You do understand the magic and luck of photography. And missing the shot by seconds …I know that feeling too! ๐ @thepaparazzo

Ohhhh, that is lovely, and it would make a great print on the wall, a shame about the resolution size.

Thank Yvonne @evn1ngstar …I haven’t tried to print it yet…might not be as bad as I fear…probably OK as an 8X10 at least. ๐

Yes Yvonne… that is a very moody image…and quite beautiful… almost like a muted painting …but the softness glides into clarity in the reflection and that brings out a sense of realism…really interesting transition. I can see why you would be very pleased with this one. And I hope you’re able to get a good size print from it. ๐ @evn1ngstar

This was a tough throwdown, but I finally decided on one.
I chose this image, not because I think it’s my best, but because it was the one that truly sparked my love for the craft. Three summers ago, as I was walking towards my beach chair I literally gasped as I noticed the still reflection in the tidal pool. I ran back to the cottage to grab my point and shoot, and have been in love with photography ever since.

Oh Karen…that’s very striking…can see why you ran back for a camera. I know that feeling too…I think that’s when you know you’re a photographer…you see something that NEEDS to be captured…and the impulse is too strong to resist. ๐

Thank you, @Mikell! Sadly, I lost all the pictures and angles I took of this when my computer crashed, but I was glad that I had opened a Flickr account in 2011 and uploaded this one for safe keeping! This memory makes me always want to have a camera nearby!
ps…If your image doesn’t enlarge well for hanging, it would make beautiful note cards. ๐
