Allows Edits? YesHi, @firefly, although similar to a Trillium, (see @camerasinger’s post below), it’s a variety of Tradescantia, called Osprey, also called Commelina, or Spiderwort…..they are a beautiful blue. Cool photo.

Allows Edits? YesThanks. Sure wish I knew what it was. I posted on a Flickr site for identifying flowers but haven’t any replies. Scoured books and sites I have but simply can’t find anything I can say with certainty.

I could be wrong but they look like a kind of rose. The shape and color of the leaves. The petals are two tone. Plus the remainder after the petals fall off are typical of roses. Wild roses can be rambling bushes 10ft around. Tiny thorns and few petals. My favorite kind. The best way to tell is to feel the petals, should be velvety. Beautiful!
