I watched a video of christa Meola doing a boudoir shoot the other day and they were using a Lite Panel 1×1 LED continuous light system which looked really good. Quite portable and easy to use from what I could tell. Hellishly expensive though like LED lighting is

I also have been thinking about this for some time and have yet to make the purchase. I have used my friends Alien Bees strobes with softbox and they work well. The weak link is the remote trigger system. Pocket Wizards are much too pricey.

I’ve got an Interfit home studio – it came with a softbox and umbrella and I’ve used it once (in a pub, for a craft fair). Had to buy a remote trigger system as the 550d doesn’t have one but it worked well – apart from the fact that the room was too small so I had to stand just outside the doorway to get a full length shot!
