Lizards are a fun and often colorful subject that many of us can shoot close to home. They also offer a great opportunity to photograph wildlife as they will often stay still as well as offer wonderful composition and color opportunities. And they're just kind of cool! We thought this collection was a fun way to show what could be done by photographers with this cute species.

Fantastic photos. I totally love lizards but here in Montana there are precious few but can find some sagebrush lizards and horned lizards (which we commonly call “horned toads” but I don’t know why).
Now I want to get a lizard for a pet… maybe a gecko 🙂
