The location is perfect :), but the aperture (f/5.6 @ 300mm I’ve seen in Flickr) is also very appropriate :)! Very good shots :)!Check It Out

The butterfly and the bee-flyHi lightstalkers :)!

    I bring two macro-pictures about insects: a very close-up of a butterfly and a bee-fly.

They are not cropped pictures. Please, click in them for enlarge.

I hope you enjoy :)!Check It Out Reply to Topic

I love the depth of field that you use :)! The soft backgrounds versus the sharp subject produce a very strong effect. Congratulations, @karamen , for these shots :)!Check It Out

    Wolf SpidersHi :)!

I show you some pictures of wolf spiders that I took this weekend. There are a lot of them now in natural areas near where I live!

These spiders are smaller than 1 cm. If you want to watch larger images, please, click in the above images.Check It Out Reply to Topic

Wow! Good work! Is very difficult to take pictures of these bugs in flight in my opinion. The focus seems good and the bee is framed by the flowers. I like it :)!Check It Out

The Last Breath of the QueenWith the cool, the normal wasps die, but its queens survive in a hibernation mode. I’ve been taking pictures of this wasp several times since months ago. I think its forces are decreasing and these could be its last moments.

Ladies and gentlemen, the last breath of the queen:

    Very interesting pictures, @admin :)!

The first bug is very bizarre! I like it :)!

I thought in other ways for macrophotography before I bought my TAMRON 90mm and my extension tubes. The reversing ring is a very popular choice.

When you view these pictures bigger in Flickr, I could view some stains. It is dust in the sensor? When I mount…[Read more]

I really like your idea, @lisahill :)! My preferred is the second one too :). The broken fibres in the focused area (in reflection) are great!Check It Out

    Welcome @lemerk :)!

I like the sun flare in the second one, because it is shown entire. In the first one, in the corner upper right, you can view the flare, but partially. I think it’s ugliest in this case :(. This effect is stronger with the HDR post-processing.

Thanks for the advice :)! I will try it next time :)!Check It Out

Thanks you very much, @toadhollow :)! Days with mist are awesome, but I don’t usually know how to take pictures in the mist :s… I need a tutorial about that. I think there was one in a post in Light Stalking… I will look for it :)!Check It Out

Thank you very much to all :)!

I haven’t watched the second part of The Hobbit yet, @tersha , but it’s in my mind. Maybe I had subliminal influences :)!

Yes, @angie , I’m proud about my kitchen window views :)! I live in the boundary between nature and the city. Looking to the nature you can forget that there is a noisy big city behind :p. I…[Read more]

    My first b/w filmHi :)!

I have the results of the development of my first black and white film! The quality is not to much good… I think the status of the film could be bad…. Or maybe I sent it to the laboratory too much late (I’ve been using it during a whole year). But I’m excited to show my first black and white pictures from a film…[Read more]

Thank you very much @toadhollow :)!

I’m scientist, and I like view photography as a very sensitive optic experiment :). I try to analyse all the factors and minimize the variables that could be negatives for my capture, studying analytically the scene before and after to take the picture, but finally I also try to find the magic :). These…[Read more]

    Thanks @karamen :)!

It’s true: with naked eyes we see little black furry balls with too many legs in movement. Macro-photography discovers us a infinity and unknown new world :). Because of it I love it :)!Check It Out
