Approximately 3 years ago I was driving and observed a Bald Eagle flying straight toward me with a mallard drake in it’s talons still alive. ”Flying United” would have been the comment had I gotten the shot, unfortunately it all happened so fast there was no chance to get out and grab the shot. Probably a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Thanks for the comment. The downside to multi-tasking; nevertheless I have been trying to take advantage of a rare November snow event here on the west coast. Next mission is to capture some images of Bald Eagles feeding on spawned out salmon at the Goldstream River estuary. Looking forward to sharing more images and information in the near…[Read more]

Hi’ looking forward to sharing images and information with you. Love the Bald Eagle image in your album. Going out tomorrow morning to hopefully capture some eagle images at Goldstream Provincial park. They arrived about 2 weeks ago to feed on spawned out salmon.

Nice images, we also got snow in Langford and the Westshore area. My challenge today was to add some images of songbirds in winter settings to my stock inventory. Can you please explain how to add images to posts in this forum. Thanks

I am new to the forum and this group, and would like to include bird images with some of my updates. Can someone please tell me how to add an image with update posts. thanks.

To post an image, I right click on an image already posted then click on ”inspect element” and then right click on the code and click copy as html. I then paste it into the box on this site, but change the image url to the image I want to post.
They do have better instructions on the forum some where.

My challenge today was to photograph songbirds as snow was falling. Snow events in Victoria on Vancouver Island, British Columbia are rare so this was a good opportunity to add some images of birds in winter. The photo is a Varied Thrush perched near one of my bird feeders, and the white specs on the bird are snow flakes. -
