        Hi Folks

Just have an entry level DSLR and have a few lenses, the latest a Sigma 10-20mm wide angle which I bought to take pictures of our rental villa inside and out. 7 Years ago the photos on our website and particularly 3rd party websites like VRBO, HomeAway et al were perfectly acceptable, in fact they didn’t want huge photos, however times have changed, now they want better quality so I have to comply or get penalised.

Here is our website as it exists now http://www.algarvevillaforrent.com

I will follow up with a new link when all my new photos have been installed.

Obviously I didn’t buy the camera or lenses just for the villa, so in time I will start a portfolio, let me get our villa project out of the way, the season is almost upon us.

        Thank you

Welcome at LS, Nigel! Never underestimate the power of an entry level DSLR when it’s hooked up to a proper lens! There are a lot of our members using the same!

Took a whole bunch of photos with my new lens, not too happy with any of them, but I know its a learning curve. The photo below is awful too because of the sun pouring through the window, I will have to pick a bright day but without sun and rely on lighting and flash I guess, filters? Any suggestions? This was taken on or about the shortest day so the sun is at it’s lowest and just pours through the window, June 21st the sun is overhead and there is only a smidgen of direct light that falls on the tiles, problem is I need the photos now.
