Hi everyone, Tania here.
I am from Australia and it was not a photo that got me hooked on photography but a scene of dead trees in a lake as we drove by. I thought it would make an amazing B&W photo, and the rest is, well history.
My passion is natural shots, landscapes, wildlife, one day macros and other unusual shots. I am looking forward to learning more and hearing feedback from everyone as I have no formal training and have not picked up a camera for a very long time. So getting the eye back in and trying to steady the shaking hands will be my first challenge.

Hi Rob Wood
Thank you for that. Unfortunately, I never was able to get a photo of that scene as I did not have a camera at the time and was never in that area again.

Welcome aboard Tania. I’m not sure you can lose your photgraphic eye so there’s nothing to be concerned about, least of all here. This group is super smart and supportive. If you’re like me you’ll learn a lot. I have found that the more I participate the more I get out of these forums.
By the way …shaky hands are a common problem. 🙂 Cheers

Hi Rob Eyers
Thanks for your welcoming words. I have just spent most of the day trying to download my 1700 photos that I had on Flikr from 4 years ago (not been on there in 4 years!!!) So that I can start again. They were going to delete some of them as I am on the free version AGGGGH NOOOOO lol. I was ok back then, but I feel like I have lost heaps of ground and need to learn all over again! Oh well just like a bicycle, just a few painful falls to get myself going again right lol.

Thank you Dahlia
I have been busy cleaning up my Flikr account and getting my head into the books to get myself reacquainted with my camera. I will certainly get some stuff out there once I have things sorted out.

Allows Edits? YesI like this image Tania and it is an interesting one. Why did you think that placing him entering the shot would not work for the story? Is it because you would lose the line created by the waters?
Another suggestion would be to very slightly dodge the person to bring more focus to him in the frame. Not sure what you think.
In the future, for any images that you are looking for constructive feedback, please post them in the shark tank forum as that is where all members will be able to look at your images and that way you will get feedback from many members. Here is the link if you have not already seen it.
Look forward to seeing more of your works 🙂

Thank you Dahlia, will put them into the Shark Tank in future.
I wanted the pools behind him to show how he had come from the water, was walking next to the water but yet walking away. His whole aim is to get onto the water and here I am capturing him walking away.
I did not understand your comment about dodging the person to get him more into focus???
