Following Robert Apple’s suggestion in a similar post of mine, let’s see if you also have experienced those cases where all of a bunch of subjects will be posing exactly the same – except that odd one out, that spoil sport!
Or perhaps where you’ve had the perfect shot – until your subject looks away or move just as you press the shutter button! I’ll jump away with the same shot which prompted Robert’s suggestion:

Tobie, I have been searching my images for one to add, but it appears that I have not found one so far, that fits this category. As much as I thought I would have one, that is not so. Perhaps my owl babies might have fit, but there are only two baby owls, not quite enough to make it the odd one out. One owl is facing the camera and one is not.

Allows Edits? YesThanks Tobie,
I seem to have a lot of photos that relate to this topic. Here is a few more recent ones..
There always has to be one in the crowd.

Canadian Geese
.
The Morning Stretch
.
Kept seeing these three rocks in the lake in front of me while I was fishing Saturday. Not really spectacular, but they were all about the same size and spaced out evenly. but not quite the same. Thought they kind of fit the theme.

Robert, you guys are setting the bar too high! I really love your horses. What a terrific picture. Your birds are also a great shot. But, your rocks in the water were a wonderful abstract. I am digging through my images to see if I can find one to add to this topic. Thank you for great images.

Tobie, does this one fit your throwdown? It really must be viewed on a larger scale to see the difference.

Allows Edits? YesOh come on now Horatio! Does it fit? It’s a perfect example of this throwdown. What a magnificent image you’ve made. Not only the odd one out colour-wise but pretty much also action-wise as well. What a fantastic picture! Thank you.
-
August 6, 2018 at 12:39 pm #357992
Thank you Graham. I was thinking the actions, not the colour. But, now that you point it out, you are quite right. I appreciate your post.

It absolutely fits, Horatio! I can’t help but wonder how the heck this guy landed up in between his darker friends. Is he an albino? A mutant? A different species?
Well spotted!

August 6, 2018 at 12:42 pm #357995
Tobie, that was exactly my thinking. The birds were flying pretty fast, so I did not have time to try and figure out if he was the same species or not. The flew in, made a quick, tight swerve and then disappeared. Thank you for your comment.
