    Ok, so last week we had sharp focus throughout, now the opposite! Selective focus, usually using a shallow depth of field, to isolate or define your subject.

        Yes it was. I kept inching closer while taking shots and apparently finally got close enough to catch his attention and he, or she, looked my way.

        Thanks Diane. You can buy egg casings online if you want some. 🙂  They're great at pest control in your garden. But they'll also pick off the occasional honey bee and butterfly as well so……….

    Sitting here in the pub (beautiful) chatting with my friends around the world and waiting for the family to come home from the cinema.  Saw this flower on the table and it reminded me of this challenge,  which i’ve been shooting for with my new lense all weekend.  This one will do it!

    Nice shot. A good example of the rule of odds. Beautifully colored flower. Bleeding heart is another “one of my wife's favorites.” It's a long list. We just bought two of the native species to include in our yet to be built butterfly garden.

    Now this is from a photo session i had for my neighbors, they agreed to be my test clients.  At first they were hesitant but they were more than happy once they found out we could do the session outside and could incorporate their bike. the bike neighbor session
