Normally expensive photography courses from Nikon are currently going for the low, low price of free, and industry competitors Leica and Olympus took notice. Now they’re giving away online courses as well and we all benefit in the end.

If you haven’t had a chance to check some of these out, now might be the time.

So what have we got here?

Leica’s campaign is called the #StayHomeWithLeica campaign and will consist of area-specific tutorials and consultations as well as more broad concepts. Leica’s press on the campaign reads in part, “Join us for a series of complimentary online programs produced by the Leica Akademie, Instagram Live interviews with renowned photographers, virtual meet-ups hosted by our Leica stores, and weekly Instagram photo challenges designed to nurture your passion for photography.”

Olympus is launching genre-specific courses, FStoppers reports.

The courses include the following:

“Getting to Know Your E-M1X
Getting to Know Your E-M1 Mark III
Getting to Know Your E-M5 Mark III
Getting to Know Your E-M10 Mark II & III
Macro Photography
Landscape Photography
Portrait Photography
Bird Photography
Basics of Photography
Live Composite Photography
Underwater Photography
Video with Olympus OM-D”

Just in case you missed it, we told you about Nikon’s free courses some time back. You can check out all of the information you need on that by clicking here.

What do you think of these online course offerings? Have you taken advantage of any of the free offers? What’s your impressions of them? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below if you like.

Also, how is the pandemic impacting your life as a photographer? We’d love to hear your story if you’d like to share it with us.
