In what is becoming an increasingly common occurrence it seems, users were having a hard time loading the apps on their smartphones.

This outage is plaguing every aspect of the platforms as well with those users that are able to log in to their accounts finding themselves unable to post photos or status updates according to The Verge. The website also highlights that this outage joins a March incident, two in April, and one just last month for a total of five now.

Engadget is also reporting that outages are impacting Facebook’s major messaging service WhatsApp as well. As for comment from Facebook, the company has yet to explain the outages. The outage seems to be primarily impacting users in North and South America as well as Europe.

While the cause of the outage is unknown, many are pointing out that the downtime Facebook and related apps have experienced over the past several months has done little to dampen the company’s growth.

With all of its brands firing on all cylinders, maybe Facebook is experiencing growing pains of some kind? Who knows.

As many commenters on Twitter and beyond are pointing out, for Facebook, time is money so every minute the service is down is money it isn’t making. After all, you can’t show ads to no one.

Of course, we’d love to hear your thoughts. Did you experience the outage today? Let us know your story in the comments.
