Potential Canon EOS R Mark II Specs Leaked

CES has come and gone but the rumor continues to churn out product for us to feast upon.

One of the latest morsels to drop in that arena happens to be none other than the reported specs for the Canon EOS R Mark II, only one of the most anticipated products in some time.

For one, Canon Rumors confirms what everyone else is saying and that is that this camera is expected to drop sometime this year.

Prepare your wallets, then, because it looks like Canon is really aiming to make a splash.

You’ll also note that Canon Rumors predicted this product would make an appearance before Photokina, writing last year that “the Canon EOS R Mark II is slated to be announced ahead of Photokina in May and will closely mimic the ergonomics of the Canon EOS Rs, which is slated to be the next EOS R body announced in the first quarter of 2020.”

Here’s what we’ve got:

32MP
IBIS
DIGIC X
12fps
ISO 100 – 51,200
1 SD card slot
1 CFexpress slot
No crop 4K video with DPAF
No RAW video
5MP EVF

And, on top of all of that, it might even get some kind of new naming system according to Canon Rumors.

Plus, everyone is somewhat skeptical of these details…mainly for the sake of being so.

Nothing really sounds that wild or out of the ordinary.

What do you think?

Do these specs sound like something you’d like to pick up in the future?

What’s your opinion of Canon’s current lineup in general?
