Photography Lovers: Have you ever had this issue?

You have been inspired to get out and take some photographs with your own gear. You have done some reading on how to take great images.

You more or less know how your camera works and you really want to produce some of the images you see online or in magazines for yourself.

The time rolls around and then…. Crickets.

You can’t think what to shoot!

And if you have the idea, you’re not quite sure how to shoot that particular subject to get the amazing results that so many people you see online are able to get?

You want to be out and shooting, not with your nose buried in some photography manual!

That’s where Inspiration Projects come in!

Each week, you will get a gorgeous photo project that you can print out and take with you into the field.

It will give you a specific theme to shoot along with enough detail for you to start shooting in minutes rather than hours or days.

And these projects cut to the chase - no fluff - just the exact details you need to take a keeper based on the theme.

This is how you repeatedly get the shots that you know you’re capable of getting.

Each Weekly Photo Project Consists of 5 Downloads Including:

1 Photography Project Booklet

What does a Project contain?

Each Project booklet is about 4 or 5 pages taking you from idea all the way through to post production so that you get a quick introduction to the core issues of a genre of photography quickly. They are great to print out and work with while you are shooting.

Quickly Know the Project Goal - Know the exact shot type we are aiming for with this particular Project. Clear and Concise.

Get Shot Summary - A Quick rundown of the shot type in case you are not familiar with it. This will quickly bring you up to speed.

See Genre Examples - Take a look at what other photographers have achieved with this shot type and what you can aim for. This cements the goal of the Project in your mind.

Things for you to Remember - Every shot type has a heap of "secrets" that a pro will probably know off by heart, but you may not have heard of. This is a list to bring you up to speed quickly.

Understand with Lighting Maps - These maps will show you exactly how you should be setting up your lighting and where it should be hitting your subject. These alone will get you a much better image and remove the mystery from many shot types for you.

Know the Exact Camera Settings - This will show you how you should be setting your camera for a classic version of the shot type of the Project.

See More Examples - If you follow the suggestions in the Project, you should be very close to getting some shots that look similar to the examples littered through the document.

Understand Additional Tips - A few brief tips designed to make sure you cover off the small problems you are likely to encounter in any photography genre.

Get a Post Production Summary - We will show you exactly where to start with a rundown of standard post production for the shot type of the Project.

Know the Exact Edits - Know exactly which sliders and edits you will likely have to start with when you are editing your Project shot.

Get Feedback - We want to see your work and help you along. Each document links straight to a place to post your image for critique!

We want to teach people how to create the photographs that they aspire to! Hopefully, we are doing something right as our tutorials have been shared by everybody from National Geographic, NASA, MSNBC, Photoshop, Lightroom, Canon, Nikon and we have even been included in several books! We are also a top 10 photography blog according to Feedspot, Klout, Detailed and Wefollow.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a project?

The Project sheet is the core of the weekly download. This document will show you the challenge and exactly how to achieve it. This includes most common camera settings, several possible lighting setups shown as lighting maps, several photographic examples and a heap of ideas for post production of your images.

Are the downloads printable?

Absolutely. Each of these gorgeous documents is designed for you to print. In fact, we encourage you to download, print and scribble notes everywhere. These downloads are meant to be USED and we love when you do!

Can I get Feedback on My Results?

Absolutely! Your Project will align with our famous "Weekend Photography Challenge" on the Light Stalking forums. This is a great place to show off your result. Of course, if you're having issues, the team is available on the forums every day as is the wonderful community where we all chat regularly.

What can I learn from the cheat sheets?

Each of the 2 cheat sheets will be related to a part of the challenge. For example, in our first portrait challenge we offered a cheat sheet on how to get sharp eyes. Our cheat sheets are hugely popular in their own right and have sold thousands.

What kind of questions can I find in the worksheet?

Answers to all the questions are in the post PDF. These questions are meant to help you cement what you have learned in the article pdf and the challenge.
