It was many years that I shot pictures, back in the old analog days. There were snapshots, some were quite nice, but mostly for memories.
Now, that I’m retired, I have more time. A few years ago I went to a fair “photo and adventure”, and my eyes opened. I decided to buy a DSLR camera, and read as many books as I could find, learning about DOF, exposures, composition, etc., not that I know everything now, but at least getting in the direction.
My main interests are nature and landscape photography, and sometimes architecture. I have mostly given up posting on facebook, because the feed-back does not get me further.

Hi Newcomer, I’m glad you’re rediscovering photography in your retirement. It
will certainly give you a reason to get up and out of the house to discover
all that the world has to offer. I found photographer is a never-ending process of learning and that’s great. I’m never bored because of that.

Good luck and feel free to post your photos.
