Retiring at age 70, I’ve decided it’s time to get back to photography here in Nashville, TN. Back in high school days, 50 years ago, I was the school yearbook photographer and used my Dad’s press camera, with pull out bellows and flashbulbs you had to insert before each photo. I combed the sidelines of our football games making negatives of the local heroes and then developing them at home in our darkroom.
I don’t remember a specific image, but my Dad was a great photographer and I just followed his lead. I also read lots of National Geographic and Life magazines. I was always fascinated with the pictures of wild exotic places thousands of miles away from our little county seat town in north central Texas.

Welcome James @jamesr to our website. It is nice to see someone my age here. How great it is to have that sort of knowledge passed on from your father. We will look forward to seeing your postings in the future.
