I got out the ND filters and headed for the beach in Northern Costa Rica. There were several evenings of nice sunsets and luckily this little sea stack.

Thank you Diane, John, Tom, Dahlia, and Jasenka.

The sunsets at that beach, while we were there, were pretty spectacular. Hard to take a bad image, although I tried 🙂

@reyers this is great. How many ND stops and what exposure time did you use?

      Thanks Roger.

I used a 3 stop and a 6 stop stacked at 20 seconds for the base shot which was taken about 10 minutes after the sun had gone down. I've found that the sky's colour sometimes intensifies for a brief moment long after most sunset watchers have gone home.

I blended 2 other exposures taken as the sun went down to include the sun and it's water highlight reflections. They were taken at 13 and 15 seconds with the same ND's
