If you live near the sea, you're familiar with them and sometimes they can just be a heap of fun as a subject for photography. The character of these birds is a lot of fun – almost as much fun as putting together this cool collection of photos of pelicans.

Cheers!

Love your pelicans! What a great idea for a photography project!
Thank you for including my photo in your collection. That version was in the “No Photoshop Here” Group and had absolutely no post-processing work applied.
Here is a version processed through Nikon Capture NX2:
Thanks for including one of my pelican images in your gorgeous gallery ๐ !! Proud to be included! Many thanks also for ‘doing the right thing’ (i.e. giving credit & linking back). You’re awesome ๐ !
Thank you for including me in this great selection. I’m proud to be part of this ๐
Loving these, first one of my favourite. Silhouette is just beautiful
fantastic…..yet again!!
Great piece. Thanks for putting it together. Not too many pelicans in Missouri; except, they stop off at the Squaw Creek Federal Wildlife Preserve each year in Mound City, Missouri for a rest. Here is a shot of a family of pelicans chilling in Missouri before they continue their journey. https://www.flickr.com/photos/shakeskc/4084004826/in/set-72157622065748993
