Looking over the high ridge of the Fagaras Mountains and its steep and often slippery slopes, barren and rocky, which visually lead to Transylvania far into the horizon from atop the Negoiu Peak, the second highest mountain in Romania. Above there is a thick layer of dark clouds which as we hiked back to Balea Lake turned into a long storm.

Do I really need *more* places I want to visit?? 😛 Too late, I’m going to have to add it to my list!

I’ve been and I really want to go back! A week wasn’t enough, I’d really love to spend a month over there.

I wandered here as I’m going to Romania next month, and was looking for information and ideas. I didn’t realize just how beautiful the country is! You have me all inspired again, glad I booked it! Now I just hope I can pull off some pics half as good as these 😉
