It’s been a while since we put up a photo collection for a bit of inspiration so I thought we’d start up the tradition again with a collection of gorgeous macro flowers from various photographers. There is no particular sub theme to these flowers other than I thought they were great examples of the genre and pretty easy to emulate in your garden if you’re inclined.
If you want to dig deep in to flower photography (and there is certainly a lot to learn to get to the upper levels), then I’d highly recommend taking a look at Leanne Cleavely’s book on Flower Photography. In addition to the fundamentals of the craft, it also gives you a LOT of ideas on flower photo projects you can do without venturing too far from the house. Take a look at the Flower Guide here.
Remember, if you’d like to take your own flower photography skills up a notch, then Leanne Cleavely’s guide to shooting flowers will give you the fundamentals plus a heap of very useful practical ideas for photographing flowers without going too far from home. Take a look at it here.
Hopefully these flower photos have given you a few ideas to go out and shoot your own. If you want to take your flower photography to the next level then Photographing Fabulous Flowers will get you there with the fundamentals and practical exercises. Take a look here.
