Adding AI to cameras is a given.

After all, it is coming to every other device known.
But the Insta360 action camera, the Ace Pro 2, has something that most competitors probably don’t and that is the patina of a Leica collab.
Equipped with artificial intelligence and coming from Insta306 and Leica, the 8K Ace Pro 2 would seem to have it all.
The spec sheet bears that out somewhat. If you’re in the market for an action camera, Insta360 certainly wants to be on the consideration list.
Equipped with a Type 1/1.3 image sensor and Leica Summarit lens, the camera lens is equivalent to “13mm ultra wide-angle lens on a full-frame camera and features an f/2.6 maximum aperture,” PetaPixel writes.
The camera also has a unique dual-chip design with one chip dedicated to image processing. Working in combination with the sensor, this design allows for 8K/30p and 4K/60p Active HDR video in addition to an AI-powered PureVideo feature that utilizes neural networks to improve image clarity, among other things.
Of course, the camera comes with all of the necessary features that you would expect in an action kit to keep it safe from harm during its owner’s various adventures.
As for pricing, it is relatively competitive. The standard kit is priced at $USD 399 (USB cable, camera, standard mount, mic cap, and a wind guard) while one with a second battery included will run you $USD 419.
You can watch a video debuting the product on YouTube.
