Dancing Light, Swirling Veils and More Vintage Shots!

Welcome to the weekly Light Stalking community update!

Between the characteristics of particle and wave, light has fascinated our species for millennia; today, we're all in for celebrating our most beloved phenomenon. Now, the bigger picture here is the “essence of movement”, our most recent set and the upcoming contest's theme!

According to our own limitations, we are positive that when it comes to movement, there's nothing faster than light. Thanks to photography, we are capable of benefiting from light. Using it in our favour, for rendering a reality that otherwise would remain unseen.

For this call on the essence of movement, Diane directed our attention towards the dance of light. From here on, you can expect a wild-ride into the various possibilities shutter speed enables; being it fast or slow. And as you should have imagined by now, toying with speed is more fun when using a neutral density aka ND.

For this edition of the weekly challenge, our talented community showcased a palette of exposure skills. A visual parade our cherished friend David Chesterfield wouldn't miss for a thing, cheers mate to wherever your light might be!

Photo of the Week

This has to be one of the most ingenious ways of using light painting that I've seen in a while. In my opinion, the engulfing nature of the multiple veils swirling and flickering around the flowers is something impossible to ignore:
