Low angle portrait photos can be a compelling way to show the character, emotions, expressions, power, etc., of your subject and usually requires a slightly different approach compared to other perspectives in photography. In this type of photography, the camera is positioned below the eye level, almost close to ground level, pointing upwards when capturing the subjects and also helps to include interesting surrounding elements like the sky, trees, etc., thereby eliminating distracting backgrounds that are an issue when shooting at eye level.

Besides, the subject appears taller and closer giving a grand look and feel to the subject and the image in general, making this perspective a great choice for unique portrait photography. You need to keep in mind that you may require the use of live view depending on how low you get and slightly narrow aperture values to get the perfect details in the shot.
