Magical Photos Of Icebergs From The Arctic And Antarctic Regions

Icebergs are great subjects for photography. Although they have a monochromatic palette, carefully observing the surroundings, using the right light and adding small subjects and other elements for scale and story can add depth and meaning to iceberg photographs.

Capturing perfect iceberg photos can be a challenge depending on the weather and the light that you are shooting in. Keep an eye on the histogram and take care of the dynamic range in the scene. Bracket shots if needed and remember to shoot raw so you can bring the right blue/bluish green tones of the iceberg if that's what you witnessed when photographing the scene. Iceberg photos, just like any photo, will require a bit of editing to bring out the details and the right colours.
